New Bedford Coggeshall Street Fire Deemed Suspicious

NEW BEDFORD - A small fire in a home is under investigation in New Bedford's near north end.

New Bedford Police and Fire personnel responded to a report of a fire inside a residence at 475 Coggeshall Street at 1:42 a.m. Monday. The occupants of the home told officials a curtain was on fire. The fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived. The flames only damaged the curtain and some nearby clothes.

The fire has been deemed suspicious in nature.
