New Bedford Chowder Festival

It's going to be a perfect day Sunday to enjoy chowder at the 8th annual New Bedford Seaport Chowder Festival. Diane Arsenault of Downtown New Bedford Inc says close to 2 dozen Greater New Bedford restaraunts, caterers and health care facilities will be serving up samples of their best chowder, soups and other goodies. She adds its being held in a new location, Pier 3 at the waterfront since Custom House Square has been re designed. Festival goers can vote for their favorite dishes and restaraunts and a panel of judges will also be voting in a number of different categories.
