New Bedford Celebrates New Year’s Eve

What are you doing New Year's Eve? The City of New Bedford has your evening planned out for you, with a multitude of activities and live music events to choose from.

The Toe-Jam Puppet Band, children's folk singer Bill Harley, jazz musicians, and even a West African drum ensemble are just some of the performers to be featured downtown Wednesday night.

Tourism Director Dagny Ashley says don't let the cold weather dissuade you from coming out.

Custom House Square will be turned into a mini-golf course while jugglers, stilt walkers, and fire-eaters roam the streets of Downtown New Bedford.

The City's New Year's Eve fireworks are scheduled to be launched from State Pier at 8:30pm.
