New Bedford Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

New Bedford Police[/caption]New Bedford Police arrest a city man following his attempted robbery early Thursday morning at a Shawmut Avenue Home.

The 46 year old female homeowner called police to report that someone had gone through her closet but when police arrived the suspect was gone. Police were able to locate a cellphone outside the window which they traced to the suspect who they found about a block away.

Police found a pocket knife in his possession. He is identified as 26 year old Felix Luis Valentine of Court Street in New Bedford and he faced charges of armed buglary and carrying a dangerous weapon in district court.
