New Bedford Mom Has a Bear Emergency
Kaylee Ann of New Bedford knew how important this teddy bear was to her autistic child so she took to Facebook to find the lost friend.
Kaylee Ann was taking her son to a doctor's appointment, nothing out of the ordinary. These visits to the doctor's office on Faunce Corner Road in Dartmouth were pretty routine for her and her son.
Her son has autism, which effects how her son communicates, interacts, and learns.
Anyone who has firsthand experience with a loved one that has autism can imagine how important this lost teddy bear is to her child. Not having this bear could really change her child's behavior and not for the better.
This particular visit to the doctor was anything but routine, when Kaylee Ann dropped the beloved stuffed animal on the ground in the parking lot. After realizing this, she ran back out to the parking lot and the teddy was gone.
She did what any of us would do; she took to social media to hopefully reach whoever took the bear. Her post garnered over 100 comments and shares, all in hopes that bear would be returned.
If you are a mom, you can relate. The sheer desperation to find the bear can bring out some raw emotions.
At the time of this writing, Kaylee Ann edited the post with an update, that someone had reached out to her and she is going to meet them to see if it's the right bear. We hope that's the case and her son can be reunited with his treasured teddy.
The Facebook post appears to have been removed, so that's good sign that he has his beloved bear back.
