New Bedford Bank 5 Branch Robbed Monday Afternoon

NEW BEDFORD - The Bank 5 branch at 160 County Street near New Bedford's South End has been robbed.

New Bedford Police confirm they received a report of a robbery at that location at 1:41 p.m. on Monday.

Police say no weapon was shown and the suspect apparently fled on foot.

No injuries were reported and no arrests in connection to the robbery have been announced.

The robbery is under investigation.
