New Bedford’s The Baker Got a Sweet Surprise From Hollywood Star Téa Leoni [VIDEO]
In a delightful turn of events, Hollywood actress Téa Leoni made an unexpected and charming appearance at The Baker, a beloved local bakery in downtown New Bedford. Her visit, which initially went unnoticed by the public, quickly turned into an unforgettable experience for both the staff and the bakery’s owner.
Manager David Landers shared the behind-the-scenes details with the Michael and Maddie Show. "She was just here with another customer, hanging out. When she discovered that the owner was a big fan, we decided to make a little video where she learned to make her favorite treat, cinnamon rolls," Landers explained.
The spontaneous video shoot was a hit, capturing Leoni’s genuine enthusiasm and the bakery’s warm atmosphere. Despite the surprise nature of her visit, Landers noted, "We had no idea she was coming. She was charming, and it was a lot of fun to make the video."
When asked about Leoni’s baking skills, Landers humorously kept his comments to himself, but he did confirm that Leoni was respectful of the bakery's space. "After the video, she went back to her friend, and we didn’t want to bother her for autographs or pictures. We wanted to respect her privacy," he added.
The actress's visit remains a sweet memory for The Baker's staff and the local community, showcasing that sometimes, even a casual day can bring extraordinary surprises. It just goes to show that you never know who you're going to bump into these days as the SouthCoast continues to become the Hollywood hub of the East Coast.
