
New Bedford Narcotics Detectives Arrest Two in South End
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Narcotics Detectives, investigating street-level drug sales in the city's South End, arrested two men Tuesday afternoon in the vicinity of 7 Salisbury Street.
According to a police spokesman, detectives spotted two men carrying out suspicious activity consistent with illegal narcotics sales.
Arrested were 32-year-old John DeMello of New Bedford and 34-year-old Manuel DeMello of Dartmouth.
Police recovered a small amount of suspected fentanyl. Both men were charged with possession of a Class A substance and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
