Murder of Teen Under Investigation in Fall River
FALL RIVER — A 17-year-old male is dead as the result of an overnight homicide in Fall River.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III's Office says Fall River Police responded to a 911 call reporting that a male had been stabbed at 96 Fountain Street. The report came in at 11:55 p.m on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, first responders found William Wheeler, 17, lying on the floor of the apartment suffering from an apparent stab wound.
Wheeler was rushed to St. Anne's Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:42 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the victim received the stab wound during an apparent altercation.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the investigation is "extremely active, fluid and ongoing at this time." No arrests have been made.
