Motorcyclist Goes Over Bridge Railing in Fall River

A motorcyclist is seriously injured after going over a highway ramp railing at the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Fall River.

Police say that Thursday around 11:30 p.m. a male motorcyclist was driving on the Rt. 6 bridge ramp when he was ejected from his bike, went over the bridge railing, and landed near Rt. 79 along the Taunton River.

WPRI reports that police and first responders lined Rt. 79 last night and search the area for about 90 minutes before the man was found with serious injuries and transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Massachusetts State Police are investigating.

The person's condition is not known.
