More Local Vigils For Newtown, CT Around The Southcoast

More local vigils remembering the victims of last week's Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting are being held in the area.

Wednesday night  at 6 at Shipyard Park in Mattapoisett where Center School Principal Rose Bowman, local church leaders and the  Showstoppers musical group will  perform or deliver remarks.

A moment of silence will follow. Friday night at Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville there will be an observance in front of the school from 6-7 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a candle.
