Mitchell Endorses Martha Coakley For Governor

According to some polls, Martha Coakley is ahead by 30 points in the race for the Democratic Nomination for Governor.

On Friday she picked up more support --- an endorsement from New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell.

The Mayor told reporters, he appreciates Coakley's style of governance, working with communities rather than dictating to them....

Coakley said she was excited to help Mayor Mitchell with local initiatives, like residential solar power, offshore wind development, and improvements to New Bedford harbor.
