Mid-Day Shooting Under Investigation in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police detectives are actively investigating the report of an afternoon shooting that took place at Middle and Chancery Street on Thursday.

New Bedford Police received a report of shots fired at 1:15 p.m. ShotSpotter was not activated.

There was no damage found and no injuries reported.

No arrests have been made in connection to the apparent shooting.

Police continue to investigate.
