With a number of head coaching vacancies opening up since the end of the NFL's regular season, New England Patriots' offensive and defensive coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia have been receiving a lot of buzz about potential opportunities to further their careers.

While McDaniels has been around the head coaching block in the past, leaving New England in 20089 to take over as the head man in Denver for two seasons, it will be hard for teams to pry him away from this year's Patriots team, at least for now.

As is the case in most years, once the season comes to an end, teams that have made a coaching change will ask other teams with prospective candidates for the jobs to grant permission to speak to those candidates.

As we now know, the Patriots have received a number of calls regarding both McDaniels and Patricia.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL, however, McDaniels has made the decision to decline any interviews for head coaching jobs this weekend, so that he can prepare for the Patriots' divisional round playoff game.

So, while McDaniels still may take a position elsewhere, to once again take a shot at being a head coach in the league, it doesn't seem to be happening any time soon.

That could be a good thing for the Pats too. By pushing the interview process and other job, it shows that McDaniels, true to the Patriot Way, is solely worried about advancing through the postseason and winning another title in New England.
