MCAS May Be Phased Out

The controversial MCAS tests may be on the way out.  Education officials voted Tuesday to allow a trial run of a new standardized testing system for Massachusetts schoolchildren.  The new tests were created by a consortium of states and will be administered online.  The current MCAS test is Massachusetts-only and administered using paper booklets.
