BOSTON — State police say a Mattapoisett man driving a tractor-trailer that rolled over on Storrow Drive in Boston on Friday was "alert" and uninjured following the crash.

According to state police, first responders arrived at the scene on Storrow Drive at the Boston University Bridge at around 2 a.m. Friday.

The driver, a 67-year-old man from Mattapoisett, was outside the truck cab and was described by police as "alert and walking around," with "no injuries of note."

Although some oil spilled from the truck, state police said Department of Environmental Protection personnel responded to clean the spill.

The incident resulted in the eastbound side of Storrow Drive being closed for an undisclosed amount of time.

State police said the tractor was a 2018 Freightliner, and the trailer was hauling boxed sprouts at the time of the crash.

The tractor was a 2018 Freightliner M2106. The trailer was carrying boxed sprouts.

State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
