Long wait times, mechanical malfunctions, and general construction. Those are just some of the problems associated with the 113-year-old New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will address those issues and more during a public meeting this week.

MassDOT is holding a public informational meeting on the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge Corridor Study Wednesday from 6-8pm on the third floor of the downtown New Bedford Library.

The focus of the study is to evaluate and address the issues motorists face navigating from County Street in New Bedford to Adams Street in Fairhaven, including the potential replacement of the bridge.
