Elizabeth Warren Slams Jeff Bezos’ $50M Wedding in Venice
Always jonesing to be seen as relevant, Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has weighed in on the price tag for billionaire Jeff Bezos' recent wedding (as if it is any of her business).
The 61-year-old Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez tied the knot in an elaborate ceremony on a private island in Venice, which cost an estimated $50 million.
Jeff Bezos' Big Day Had a Big Price Tag
"Bezos and Sanchez got married on a private island in Venice, and many wealthy guests arrived by private jets," according to The Street. "The couple requested no wedding presents and donated about $3.5 million to local charities."

Warren Slams Bezos' Wedding
Bespectacled buttinski Warren offered her unsolicited two cents, not about the nuptials but about the cost of the affair.
Warren posted on X, "If Jeff Bezos can afford to rent Venice for a $50 million wedding, he can afford to pay his fair share in taxes." Isn't she adorable?
Bezos is an American businessman and entrepreneur who founded Amazon and the aerospace company Blue Origin, and is the owner of the Washington Post.
Lauren Wendy Sanchez is 55. She is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, pilot, and entrepreneur and is the founder of Black Ops Aviation.
Elizabeth Warren Is No Pauper
Warren and her husband, Bruce Mann, and their little dog Bailey have amassed quite a sum of their own. The Street reported in January that Warren and Mann have a "formidable financial fortune, placing her well within the top 1% of highest-earning Americans."
No wonder she swigs that fancy-schmancy Michelob Ultra and not Modelo Especial or Bud Light as the peons do.
