Partisan politics did not surface in the Mass. House on Wednesday, when lawmakers, mostly all Democrats, gave near-unanimous support to a budget shortfall plan offered by Republican Governor Charlie Baker.

Baker's financial team says this year's state budget is about $768-million in the red.

The Governor has suggested a series of budget cuts and other steps to balance the spending plan. Rep. Robert Koczera of New Bedford, a Democrat, voted in favor.....

Koczera says some accounts that won't be touched include local aid for cities and towns, and the Dept. Of Children and Families.

The Senate is expected to act in the next few days.
