Mass. DPU Considers Cutting Natural Gas Rates

Southcoast residents buying natural gas through Eversource Energy will likely see a bit of a break on their next utility bill.

A press release from the energy provider says a substantial decline in natural gas prices could save customers on average about $20 per month.

The new proposed natural gas supply rate is $59.74 per therm, down from the current rate of $74.43. The rate change must first be approved by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.
