Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Says Missing Teen Was Abducted
A young member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is missing, and the public is being asked to help find her.
Jalajhia Finklea, 18, was last seen Oct. 20 in the New Bedford area with Luis Robert Zaragoza Barboza, a man the tribe has described as the woman's abductor. According to a media release from the Mashpee-Wampanoag, Finklea may have been taken outside of Massachusetts.
Finklea is described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds. She has brown hair, hazel eyes, and a triangle-shaped scar on her left cheek.
Zaragoza, 36, is described as being 6 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 275 pounds. He has several tattoos, including Asian lettering on his bicep and a Dallas Cowboys star on his chest.
The Mashpee Wampanoag Police Department is said to be working closely with the New Bedford Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call New Bedford police at 508-991-6360. A $1,000 reward is offered for the young woman's safe return.
