Man with Taunton Ties Named on Most Wanted Sex Offenders List

TAUNTON — A man with ties to Taunton has been placed on the Massachusetts State Police list of Most Wanted Sex Offenders.

State Police say Juan C. Gonzalez, 57, is a Level 3 Sex Offender who is wanted on four counts of failure to register as a sex offender.

Gonzalez was convicted of rape of a child with force in 1989 after repeated sexual assaults of a child in Taunton. The assaults began when the child was five years old.

Gonzalez also has convictions for masked armed robbery, unlawful carrying of a firearm, assault and battery, and making threats.

Juan Gonzalez is described as a Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 6'3" tall, weighing about 200 pounds, and has a tattoo on his upper right arm. He also has scars on his left shoulder, back, abdomen, and hip.

State Police say Gonzalez has used several aliases in the past, including Juan Gonsalves, Willie Gonsalves, Alex Guerrero, Juan Gonzalez Irizarry, and Jason Diaz.

Gonzalez has ties to Taunton, Boston, and New York.
