FALL RIVER — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Santander Bank in Fall River on Tuesday afternoon, and ask the public for any information on his whereabouts.

According to WPRI, the male suspect entered Santander Bank on William S. Canning Boulevard at about 4:15p.m., and was carrying a handgun. Police say he walked up to a teller and immediately demanded money.

An image of the suspect from the bank’s surveillance footage was released by police that shows the man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a front zipper, a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a mask covering the lower portion of his face. The suspect also was wearing what appears to be a white glove on the hand holding the gun and a black glove on his off-hand.

The suspect was last seen running through the parking lot of a nearby Burger King with an unknown amount of money stolen from the bank. No injuries were reported by police.
