Man To Be Arraigned For Shooting Death Of Teen Daughter
A man accused of killing his 19-year-old daughter will be arraigned Wednesday morning.
Gregg Miliote, Director of Communications for the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, says that 45-year-old Walter DaSilva was transported from Connecticut, where he was arrested as a fugitive from justice on an outstanding probation warrant out of Middlesex County connected to an assault in Weston in 2002.
DaSilva is accused of shooting his daughter, Sabrina DaSilva, multiple times on the evening of July 3 outside her apartment on 9 Bedford St.
Upon arrival first responder found DaSilva, laying in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
He was officially charged with daughter's murder on August 8.
Miliote says will be arraigned in New Bedford District Court on charges of murder, carrying an illegal firearm and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm.
