Man Killed in Crash with Cardi’s Truck in Somerset

UPDATE: The Bristol County District Attorney's Office has identified the deceased as 31-year-old Eric Salvas of Swansea. Gregg Miliote, spokesman for the DA's Office, says the investigation is ongoing, but appears to be a tragic accident at this time.

SOMERSET — A Swansea man is dead following a crash Friday morning in Somerset.

According to Somerset Police, the crash took place at around 9:40 a.m. Friday on Route 138 near the Rise Cafe and involved a three-wheeled motorcycle and a Cardi's Furniture truck.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old man from Swansea, has passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.

It's unknown if there were any other injuries as a result of the crash or the circumstances surrounding the accident.
