Man Fatally Stabbed in New Bedford’s West End Thursday Morning

NEW BEDFORD — A man is dead following a stabbing Thursday morning on Cottage Street.

New Bedford Police Department spokesman Lt. Nathaniel Rodriguez confirms to WBSM News the man was fatally stabbed in the 300-block of Cottage Street, between Maxfield and Hillman Streets, before 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

No further information is available at this time.

The homicide investigation has been turned over to State Police Detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
