Man Charged With OUI Drugs in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD — A man will be summonsed to court to face charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs in New Bedford.

New Bedford Police responded to the area of 28 Malden Street Thursday at about 11:48 a.m. for a report of a person in a vehicle acting suspiciously. Further investigation indicated the man was under the influence of heroin.

The man was transported to St. Luke's Hospital and will be summonsed for OUI drugs.
