Man Arrested for Disturbance at New Bedford Liquor Store
NEW BEDFORD — A man causing a disturbance at a New Bedford liquor store while carrying a weapon is arrested.
New Bedford Police responded to a disturbance at 5:24 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) at Douglas Wine and Spirits on Kings Highway. The suspect was being argumentative and unruly inside the store.
When police arrived, the suspect was found in possession of a knife larger than allowed by city ordinances.
Robert Jones III, 40, of 1095 Mt. Pleasant Street in New Bedford was charged with disorderly conduct and carrying weapons in violation of city ordinance.
