Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking into New Bedford Fast Food Restaurants
NEW BEDFORD — A man is arrested after allegedly breaking into two New Bedford fast food restaurants.
Corey Robert Matthews, who has no known address, was charged with vandalizing property and two counts of breaking and entering into a building in the nighttime, in connection with break-ins into the KFC at 506 County Street, and the Burger King at 1383 Cove Road.
The break-ins happened overnight from Sunday, June 10 into Monday, June 11.
Matthews was located on the side of the 7-Eleven store at 1024 Cove Road early Tuesday. He was identified via video surveillance as having broken into the restaurants.
