
Man Arrested After Causing Disturbance at New Bedford Bus Terminal
NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man is arrested on multiple charges after police say he was causing a disturbance at the downtown bus terminal.
New Bedford Police responded to the bus terminal at 134 Elm Street at approximately 11:51 a.m. Thursday morning on a report of a man causing a disturbance. Officers arrived on the scene and asked the man to leave, but he remained in the area.
Further investigation revealed the man, 65-year-old Lloyd DeBarros, had an active warrant for his arrest. It was also discovered that he was in possession of an open container of alcohol, as well as a small amount of heroin.
DeBarros was arrested on the warrant, as well as on charges of possession of an open container of alcohol on a public way and possession of a Class A drug.
