BRAINTREE - A lottery ticket worth $4 million was sold in New Bedford.

Lottery officials say the ticket was sold at Lyndon's Convenience Store, 3963 Acushnet Ave., in New Bedford.

The instant game was purchased by Laura Mendosa of West Yarmouth. Mendosa chose the cash option and will receive a one-time payment of $2.6 million. She says she plans on using some of her winnings to travel.

Lyndon's Convenience Store will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Lyndon's will receive their check today in Mass Lottery's New Bedford office.

The winning ticket was a "$4,000,000 Bonus Cash" instant scratch game, that went on sale starting February 28. Four additional $4 million prizes and fifteen $1 million prizes remain in the "$4,000,000 Bonus Cash" $10 instant game.
