A pair of Republican lawmakers are hoping to build support for a tax free weekend for Mass. restaurants. 

Rep. Claire Cronin of Easton and Keiko Orrall of Lakeville want to eliminate collection of the meals tax for a week in August. 

Rep. Orrall tells WBSM  News, she beleives the move will stimulate business....

Orrall says a Restaurant Association official says the move would be particularly helpful for restaurants in non-tourist areas where business slows down during the summer months.

Orrall is suggesting the tax free week for August 11 through the 15.
