Keating Wins 9th Congressional District Race
Congressman William Keating has been elected to the new 9th Congressional District, and is anxious to get to work for it's people.
Keating stopped in New Bedford Tuesday, greeting supporters. He says his number one priority is generating jobs, and in New Bedford he believes Cape Wind and the South Terminal Maritime Project will be a primary job generator. Keating says creating a trained workforce for those jobs is equally important.
Keating says working with colleges like BCC and UMass Dartmouth will ensure the Southcoast is ready to become a leader in offshore wind development.
Aiding the fishing, agriculture, and tourism industries across the district are all on the top of Keating's to-do list.
