A federal delegate is also letting Governor Deval Patrick know how he feels about the impromptu name change of a New Bedford project.

Congressman William Keating has drafted a letter to the governor, saying the name of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal should remain unchanged.

Keating tells WBSM News he doesn't buy Patrick's explanation of having a state-funded project named after the state.

In recent press releases, the New Bedford title was omitted in favor of the Massachusetts or Southcoast Marine Commerce Terminal.

Keating says to exclude New Bedford is to undercut the tireless marketing and branding efforts put forth by city officials.
