A New Bedford Superior Court judge has made a ruling in the decision whether the move to recall Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan can proceed.

According to the Herald News, Judge Thomas McGuire Jr. released the ruling this morning, saying the recall is constitutional, and Flanagan's name can appear on the recall ballot as a candidate in the December 16 recall election.

The ruling means Flanagan's name will appear twice on the recall ballot, with the first question asking if he should be recalled from office, and the second placing him among the qualified candidates for the election.

There may be as many as eleven candidates on the December 16 ballot.
