Jenkins Arraigned On Perjury Charges

The fiance' of former Patriot star Aaron Hernandez entered a not guilty plea to perjury charges Tuesday during her arraignment in Fall River Superior Court. 

Prosecutors say Shayanna Jenkins lied to a grand jury investigating the death of Odin Lloyd of South Boston.   They also beleive she destroyed evidence. 

But Defense Attorney Janice Bassil charged the prosecution was heavy-handed when questioning Jenkins before the grand jury

The prosecution asked for $5,000 bail but the judge decided to allow Jenkins to be released on personal recognizance.  Her case was continued to November 6th. 

Aaron Hernandez is charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd back in June.
