Fall River Relives Pokémon Magic With Jason Paige Live Performance
If you grew up singing “I wanna be the very best…” at the top of your lungs, you weren’t alone.
On Thursday, June 17 at Globe Street Convenience, legendary Pokémon theme song singer Jason Paige brought the magic, and every ounce of nostalgia, to Fall River during his meet-and-greet event. Fans (including myself) are still buzzing about it.
Not only was Paige energetic, personable and kind to every customer and fan who lined up to meet him, but he also delivered a once-in-a-lifetime moment that no one expected.
An Acoustic Pokémon Moment to Remember
Midway through the event, Paige borrowed my own acoustic guitar, and with a smile that matched his enthusiasm, performed a live acoustic version of the original Pokémon theme song.
The second he strummed those iconic opening chords, the crowd was hooked. You could see faces light up, phones shot into the air, and for a few minutes, everyone in the room felt like a kid again.

I’ll admit, it fired off every nostalgic neuron in my brain. The way Paige belted out the lyrics, full of the same passion that made the song legendary, transported me right back to Saturday mornings with Pokémon battles on TV and trading cards sprawled across the floor.
And yes, he still sounds amazing.

A Star Who Truly Appreciates His Fans
Throughout the day, Paige posed for photos, signed autographs, and took time to chat with everyone, making each fan feel special. Globe Street Convenience owners Will Brightman and Cynthia Abella called the event a huge success, saying Paige’s energy and kindness made it unforgettable for everyone who attended.
