Okay, if you’ve never been to the Moxie Festival in Lisbon, Maine, this could be the year you finally go, because it’s one of those perfectly wonderful, very Maine experiences that just works for everyone.

The 2026 Moxie Festival is happening again, July 10th-12th and the theme this year is Moments In History With Moxie. This festival has been going on for 42 years!

And the theme feels fitting because the whole world has gone crazy.

This Maine festival isn’t just a festival, it’s an experience and it rubs off on you throughout the years. The same faces, vendors, music, and feel of home town family.

Now of course you’ve got the parade, live music, vendors, and kids running around with wicked sticky hands.

Everything You Need to Know About This Year's Moxie Festival, Maine

If you’re doing the family thing, there’s plenty to keep kids busy without it feeling overwhelming.

Now, the events, because yes there are events. The Moxie Day 5K is Saturday morning (July 11th), with a kids’ run before it, which is actually really cute if your kids are into that kind of thing. But the main event?

The Moxie Chugging Contest.

And listen… watching people try to drink as much Moxie as possible in two minutes is exactly as amazingly messy as it sounds. There's also a whoopie pie eating contest.

There’s also the New England Moxie Congress happening over at the Seashore Trolley Museum on Sunday, which is a little more niche, but kind of fun if you’re into the history and nostalgia side of things!

Another year of Moxie, neighbors, and that small-town community feel, right here in Lisbon, Maine for the 2026 Moxie Festival!
