The idea of having vulgarity inscribed on gravestones knocks the wind out me! Can you just imagine the respect and veneration of a cemetery being invaded by profanity chiseled onto a gravestone next to one of your loved ones?

Thinking out loud, I'm wondering if this will become the next "freedom of speech" rage? It's already started in Lynn, Mass., where, thank God, cemetery commisioners put the brakes on a family's request to include a repulsive verse of their rapper son's song carved onto the headstone!

That seems a little bit inappropriate, and totally disrespectful to anyone who happens to walk by that burial spot. What's next?
