Southcoast Remembers Hurricane Bob 22 Years Later
It was 22 years ago that Greater New Bedford was battening down the hatches as hurricane Bob was bearing down on Southeastern Massachusetts.
It was the last formidable storm to hit the area. West Island Weather Observer ML Baron says Mattapoisett was ground zero for the storm. One of the strangest sights were the boats that were tossed out of the water and onto the Padnaram bridge.
Power was out for many areas of greater New Bedford for a number of days as well.
