It's been a busy few months for New Bedford Election Commissioner Manuel DeBrito.

First, he had been preparing for the September 1 state primary election, and then early voting prior to the November 3 election.

And for the first time ever, thousands of voters are mailing in their ballots in New Bedford.

In Manny DeBrito's eyes, it all points to a huge turnout on November 3.

This week on Townsquare Sunday, DeBrito spells out the steps taken to prepare for early voting, along with traditional voting on November 3, sharing details on COVID-19 protocols at the polls, and why he requested extra police for election day.

He also explains how his office is handling the torrent of mail-in ballots in 2020.
