(Associated Press)  -  Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey says daily fantasy sports websites such as Boston-based DraftKings and FanDuel will be allowed to continue operating in Massachusetts, but under a set of rules and regulations she wants put in place.

Healey announced the proposals Thursday after a weekslong review of the industry.

Among the regulations would be a ban on anyone under 21 participating in daily fantasy sports contests and a ban on advertising or promotion of the contests at schools or college campuses.

Professional athletes and others connected to pro sports would also be banned from entering contests in their particular sport.

New York's attorney general sent letters to DraftKings and FanDuel last week calling in them to halt what he considers illegal games of chance under New York law.
