Gunshots Reported In New Bedford
New Bedford Police are investigating after gunshots were reported Wednesday night.
Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that at around 7:30 p.m. officers were sent to the area of Conduit St. and Bates St. after receiving 911 calls regarding a report of shots fired in the area.
Witnesses told police they saw a male passenger in a dark colored sedan stick his arm out of the window and fire several shots in the air.
The vehicle was then reported driving on Bates St. towards Acushnet Ave.
Vicente says five spent shell casings were located in the area, but there are no victims or any property damage being reported at this time.
