Gunman Dead After Holding Five Firefighters Hostage in Georgia
The man who held five firefighters hostage in Suwanee, Ga. earlier on Wednesday has been shot and killed by SWAT members. Four hostages are slightly injured, but authorities say they should be OK.
The firefighters were originally called to the residence in Suwanee, Ga. Wednesday afternoon by a man who said he was having a heart attack, according to local officials. Suwanee is located 35 miles northeast of Atlanta. The gunman quickly released one of the firefighters to move a firetruck.
Police say it is not clear what the suspect's motive was at this time. The situation took place at a foreclosed house that was being prepared for placement on the local real estate market.
