If you support President Donald J. Trump, the media elite is laughing at you. The talking head crowd thinks that you are pretty stupid and is laughing at you right to your face. On live national television.

CNN anchor Don Lemon, New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Wajahat Ali and former Republican strategist Rick Wilson were doing a live roundtable discussion about all things impeachment on the low-rated cable news network on Saturday night when the discussion turned to the recent showdown between Mike Pompeo and a National Public Radio host over the rules of engagement for their pre-arrangement interview.

Pompeo challenged the host to find Ukraine on a map. She claims she did, he says she couldn't. Whatever.

The incident prompted Wilson to lash out at Trump and his supporters.

"[Pompeo] also knows deep within his heart that Donald Trump couldn't find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it," Wilson said. "He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world. And so that's partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience. You know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump."

CREDULOUS: cred·u·lous
Having or showing too great a readiness to believe things.
gullible, naive, impressionable, trusting, over-trusting

It's one thing for political hacks to bang Trump, that goes with the territory, but the viciousness often extends beyond Trump and is directed right at the folks who voted for him. We've been called everything from deplorable to racist to stupid and now credulous rubes. Do these people believe that attacking Trump's supporters is going to somehow defeat him?

Here's a little secret for the millionaire boys and girls club in the national media: most Americans despise you and your self-righteous, elitist attitudes. Your smugness empowers us and will not deter us. And oh yeah, we laugh right back in your silly, snobbish, judgemental faces every day.

See ya in November.
