Gomes Wants Law Enforcement Summit On Crime

City Councilor Brian Gomes is calling for a summit to address crime in New Bedford.

Gomes, who also serves as chair of the Public Safety Committee, says that all ideas need to be heard and that multiple law enforcement agencies should work together to address the issue.

Gomes announcement came a report released by Law Street Media that ranked New Bedford as the third most dangerous city in the Commonwealth.

Gomes says he will call for the summit at next week's City Council meeting.
