Global Charter Closes School Following Shooting Threat in Email
NEW BEDFORD — Global Learning Charter Public School has canceled school for the day due to an email threatening to shoot students and staff.
A spokesperson for the school tells WBSM News that the threat came in this morning while students were being picked up by busses.
New Bedford Police are investigating the threat, which apparently was sent to other schools in the city as well.
Global Charter students can be picked up by their parents at Tremblay Bus Company, located at 284 Myrtle Street in New Bedford. Students in grades 7-12 will be sent back home on the bus.
