Girl Scouts Are Smart Cookies Introducing Their Newest Flavor Now
It was announced today, as a countdown to the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie season, that the regional councils have selected their newest flavor of cookie: Raspberry Rally. It will become available starting in January, but only online.
So what do Raspberry Rally taste like? It's described as a delicious thin, crispy cookie infused with flavorful raspberry and then dipped with a chocolate coating. Talk has already started that this is the sister cookie to the legendary Thin Mints.
There certainly have been some fabulous signature flavors of Girl Scout cookies over the decades. Were any of your favorites discontinued? They have to axe some flavors to make room for newbies like Raspberry Rally.
That's understandable, but looking back at the long list of over 50 retired flavors, I spotted an old love. Now I long for a date with a box of Lemon Chalet Cremes, those luscious vanilla-cinnamon cookies with a lemon cream filling. Be still, my heart.
What a remarkable job the Girl Scouts have championed with their cookie business that started in 1917, baking simple sugar biscuits in the homes of the scouts. Today, we see the tables in front of the supermarkets stacked with Girl Scout cookies, or door-to-door.
However the Raspberry Rally is an online-exclusive cookie that can only be purchased online and shipped directly to your home. You can get cookies online by going to GirlScoutCookies.org. Enter your zip code in the Cookie Finder, or text Cookies to 59618.
During an average selling season from January through April, more than one million entrepreneurial girls sell over 200 million packages of cookies and raise over $800 million, money that directly benefits local councils and Girl Scout troops.
So our cookie cravings are guilt free, because they're for a great cause.
