Gasoline prices continue to drop in Massachusetts, but still can't catch up to the plunging national average.

AAA Southern New England reports Monday that self-serve, regular is down another 6 cents per gallon to an average of $3.47. That's still 8 cents higher than the national average.

The current price in Massachusetts is 37 cents lower than at the same time last year and 18 cents lower than a month ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling as low as $3.35 per gallon and as high as $3.65.  (Associated Press)
