Freetown Police Earn Acceditation
The Freetown Police Department has been awarded a three year accreditation from the Mass. Police Accreditation Commission. Freetown is one of only 51 Mass. Police departments that have earned accreditation.
The two-year process included a self evaluation by the department itself, and a visit by an outside review team.
Police Chief Carlton Abbott called the three-year accreditation "a significant accomplishment that's highly regarded by the law enforcement community."
